What is ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) Therapy?

ABA is a Science of Learning. It focuses on improving socially appropriate behaviour. It is the basis for type of therapy focusing on improving: Social Skills, Communication, Fine Motor Dexterity. It helps in developing skills that are lacking at an early age. And uses positive reinforcement to increase positive behaviours.

So why Integrated Therapy?

At Smilestones, our RBT (Registered Behaviour Technicians) are dually qualified as SLPs (Speech Language Pathologists) too. And hence the therapy we provide is from both a language and a communication perspective. This helps in achieving better outcomes and measurable results. We follow goal oriented programmes and each child is placed on a uniquely formulated programme that is supervised by the BCBA/Expertise Director to maintain quality and structure. In essence, to put it simply - it is 2 therapies in 1!
