QABA Visit to Smilestones Cambodia | International ABA Standards in Practice

Smilestones recently had the privilege of welcoming a representative from the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA), an internationally recognised organisation headquartered in Utah, USA that establishes professional standards for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

The visit marked an important milestone for our team.

Since the founding of Smilestones, our objective has been clear: to integrate compassionate, evidence-based ABA principles alongside speech and language therapy so that families in Cambodia can access services aligned with international best practices.

The visit created valuable opportunities for professional dialogue, observation, and knowledge exchange. These interactions allowed our therapists to reflect on clinical practice, strengthen skills, and remain connected to global developments within developmental therapy.

Collaboration with international professionals supports ongoing professional growth while helping therapists pursue recognised certifications that further elevate service quality for children and families.

We believe progress in therapy services is built collectively. Advancing care requires shared learning, investment in professionals, and continuous alignment with evolving clinical standards worldwide.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Bonnie and the QABA team for their guidance and support.

We look forward to continuing this relationship as part of our commitment to strengthening developmental services across Cambodia.
