Supporting Families Through Education: Smilestones Partners with NetBlock Cambodia

Community education has always been an important part of Smilestones’ mission.

As part of our ongoing outreach programme, we are proud to serve as the official Speech and Language partner with NetBlock Cambodia, working together to raise awareness among families about excessive screen time and its impact on children’s communication development.

The webinar, held on 14 March 2026, was delivered exclusively to schools partnered with NetBlock Cambodia. These schools share a common commitment to supporting families through education and early awareness.

The session focused on helping parents understand how everyday interactions shape communication skills and how balanced technology use can support healthier developmental outcomes.

This event also marked a special moment for our team as it became the first webinar led by our therapist, Mr. Bhashitha Hettogoda, SLP, ABAT. His clear, thoughtful presentation and engagement with families reflected the collaborative spirit that guides our clinical work.

The strong participation and discussion that followed highlighted how important these conversations are for parents navigating modern childhood challenges.

Through initiatives like this, Smilestones hopes to empower families with practical knowledge so children can grow, connect, and communicate with confidence.
