Today marks Autism Awareness Day, a moment that holds deep meaning for our team at Smilestones.
For us, awareness goes beyond recognition. It is about action, access, and creating opportunities for families to better understand their children’s development.
To mark the occasion, Smilestones hosted a Free Autism Awareness Screening Day, offering families in Cambodia the opportunity to seek guidance, ask questions, and gain early insights into their child’s communication and developmental needs.
Awareness is often the first step toward meaningful change. When families receive accurate information and timely support, it can positively influence a child’s developmental journey and help parents feel more confident in the decisions ahead.
Every child experiences the world differently. Recognising individuality while supporting families with practical guidance remains central to our work.
Throughout the day, families connected with our therapists in an open and welcoming environment designed to reduce uncertainty and encourage conversation.
For many parents, simply having a space to ask questions is an important beginning.
Our shared goal is simple:to make developmental support more accessible and to contribute to a more informed and inclusive community in Cambodia.
Because awareness today can help shape brighter possibilities tomorrow.
